What up world, I’m Ben. I currently own a silver mist 2002 Hyundai Accent GS. I have performed a motor swap, using a 2002 Hyundai Elantra 2.0L engine to add more horse power to my car. Using the 1.6L Accent’s ECM harness swapped over to the Beta II(Elantra) engine was really simple. Just splicing 3 censor’s from the betaII ECM harness to the Accent’s harness and using Accent’s transmission this was a fun and easy swap.
My car was lowered 1.6 inches with the use of B&G lowering springs with KYB gas struts giving the car a nice stiff ride. A one of a kind body kit from SharkRacing was added for looks and wow was it ever needed. I have recently added a Zex wet nitrous kit and using the 65 shot pill. The car was put on a dyno and the horse power gains were awesome. 130 whp & 136 pounds of torque, with the install and use of a Apexi S-AFCII. OBX 4-2-1 header, high flow cat, 2.5 SS piping, to an Apexi N13 inch muffler. Giving my car a nice deep tone.
